Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about scope, mobilisation and delivery.
What services do you deliver?
We self-perform general civil works, reinforced concrete (foundations, slabs, walls), groundworks and drainage, external works, utilities corridors and critical data center infrastructure interfaces. For M&E, we execute containment systems, equipment bases, earthing and UPS/generator foundations, coordinating with specialist contractors for terminations and commissioning.
Where do you operate?
We operate across the UK and the European Union. Our delivery model is designed for international mobilisation with compliant documentation, language coverage on site and supervisors familiar with local H&S frameworks. Country-specific certifications (e.g., CSCS in the UK, VCA/SCC in the EU) are ensured before mobilisation.
How fast can you mobilize?
Standard scopes mobilise in 1–2 weeks once the contract, RAMS and access logistics are confirmed. For critical programmes we can compress timelines by pre-positioning equipment, parallelising inductions and night-shifting early enabling works. Lead times depend on permits, accommodation and border logistics.
Are you a recruitment company?
No. RTB Infrastructure is a delivery company within the RTB Group and operates separately from RTB Recruitment. We own the programme, quality and H&S for the works we deliver, using our own supervision and site controls. The Group linkage gives us scale without compromising governance.
How do you ensure quality?
We use Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), hold points, calibrated equipment, batch and material traceability and as-built records. Each activity has clear acceptance criteria and photo documentation. NCRs and punch items are tracked to closure. We prioritise quality and promptitudine: predictable delivery without rework.
What certifications do your teams hold?
UK: CSCS as baseline; SSSTS/SMSTS for supervisors; CPCS/NPORS for plant. EU: VCA/SCC and local equivalents. Task-specific tickets (e.g., confined space, hot works, MEWP) are verified pre-start. Supervisors are bilingual where required.
How do you handle Health & Safety?
RAMS approved before start, site inductions, daily briefings/toolbox talks, near-miss reporting and permit-to-work adherence. We maintain lifting plans, temporary works registers and clear exclusion zones. H&S metrics are reported weekly with actions and owners.
What commercial models do you support?
We work under fixed price packages with defined BoQs, measured works with remeasurable items and dayworks for emergent tasks. We propose value engineering during preconstruction and maintain transparent change control with priced variations and programme impact statements.
What does your reporting look like?
Weekly progress reports include installed quantities vs plan, constraints and lookaheads, QA/H&S snapshots and photo logs. For data center work, we align with client MOP/SOP gates and provide interface matrices for M&E hand-offs.
What do you need from the client to start?
Issued-for-construction drawings, specifications, site rules, access permits, known utilities information and laydown areas. We also require contact details for permit coordinators and safety representatives to align on inductions and delivery windows.
Do you provide design support?
Yes, via partners. We offer constructability reviews, temporary works design, rebar detailing support and value engineering options during preconstruction, while keeping design responsibility clearly allocated per contract.
What warranties and insurances do you carry?
We provide standard workmanship warranties aligned with the contract and maintain employers’ liability, public liability and contractors’ all-risks insurance. Certificates are available on request.
